Originally produced as a one-act play starring Grace Experience and K.K. Glick, Wingspan is the story of a young flight attendant with a fear of flying, who is about to work her first transatlantic trip. When a veteran co-worker tries to help her through the turbulent crossing, she discovers that a fear of flying is the least of the young woman's secrets.
The two actresses who starred in the play will also narrate this audio original.

Chatting about topics both professional and personal, two female flight attendants--played by Upright Citizens Brigade alumna K.K. Glick and newcomer Grace Experience--ready their passengers for another routine flight in this likable and witty one-act production. Sadly, just as the listener is beginning to enjoy the show, the author breaks in time after time reading unnecessary and intrusive stage directions such as, "Karen points to the seatbelt sign," immediately followed by the actor saying, "Sir, the seatbelt sign is illuminated." There is a tradition of reading stage directions in the theater workshop setting, but here the pace and performances are sorely marred by them. In audio drama good acting and writing don't need explanations--they are perfectly capable of telling a story just fine on their own. B.P. © AudioFile 2019, Portland, Maine
