(Pride and Prejudice)

ebook

(The "Pride and Prejudice (illustrated edition)"was the representative work by Jane Austen. It does not involve any content of the popular sentimental novels and artificial technique of that time. Based on daily life, this work vividly reflects the life and human relationships in the conservative, isolated villages and towns in UK in the late 1700s and the early 1800s. The hero Darcy, an apparently proud but actually kindhearted boy from a rich family, is never aware of his own pride due to favorable environment. Elizabeth, an intelligent and meticulous girl, excessively believes the first impression and is often trapped in prejudice although she is self-assured of keen perception. At first sight, the proud Darcy falls in love with the stubborn and biased Elizabeth. The pride of Darcy and the prejudice of Elizabeth, however, determine that this is a love story full of misunderstandings and humorous atmosphere.)
