      On one hand, this book feels like an extended infomercial for the Noom subscription-based app, which has millions of devoted users and a corner on the "non-diet" approach to dieting. Yet this book also offers a well-researched, actionable plan designed to encourage readers to shift their habits through mindset and introspection, rather than just looking at food from a what-not-to-eat viewpoint. The book focuses on an individual's power to make choices and offers a range of tactics for rewiring thought patterns around food, eating, exercise, and interconnected aspects of one's lifestyle. VERDICT While this book is probably best suited for readers happy with or curious about the Noom app and why the system works, there are suggestions here that anyone can incorporate into wellness practices, including tips, questions, journal prompts, and activities.--Emily Bowles
