When she applies for a role as “The Caretaker” in an upcoming paranormal investigative TV show, she’s excited for the chance to live in the notoriously haunted Hennessee House and find out its secrets. What she didn’t expect is for the small crew to accept and embrace her for who she is, becoming real friends and surrogate family. She’s especially drawn to star ghost hunter Maverick Phillips but worries their romance could clash with her paranormal investigation. Meanwhile, the sentient house is lonely, moody, and wants Lucky all to itself. As Lucky comes into her strength with the support of newfound friends, will she be able to balance her romantic life with her interest in the supernatural? Kann (The Romantic Agenda) has written a captivating supernatural romance, delightfully enhanced with spooky chills. Zenzi Williams narrates, deftly highlighting the characters' growth as they navigate their relationship and take stock of their dreams and desires.
