Magazine

Women's Health readers strive to better their whole lives. And that's exactly why Women's Health reports on all the topics that interest them. In every issue you'll find topics on success strategies, nutrition, weight loss, health, fitness, special reports, sex & relationship, beauty breakthroughs, and style & fashion.

Liz's LETTER • Real talk! This year, for the first time in my life, I began seeing a therapist.

HIGH-FIVE FEED

Teachable Moment • My happy place: a workout class. I love the energy and group vibe. Part of me had always wanted to lead one, but it didn’t seem feasible given my schedule (and nerves). It took being approached by the instructor of one of my favorite dance-infused classes for me to finally commit. The result? I learned that the road from student to teacher is not only a course in form and stamina, but also in swapping stage fright for confidence, choosing the right motivating words, and more. Here, a few lessons on the way to the mic.

BALANCING ACT

You Can’t Lose • …when you’re in winning gear. Athleta’s new boxing collection—designed with feedback from instructors of the celeb-fave Rumble studio—has all the pieces you need to be the boss of that bag. The crop top, bras, shorts, tights, and hoodies fight sweat and move with every jab and hook…not to mention, look fierce on the street. Hello, knockout!

Step to It • TOWER RACES—I.E., RUNNING UP THE STAIRS OF A REALLY TALL BUILDING—ARE ON THE RISE…LITERALLY. EVERYTHING TO KNOW TO REACH THE TOP:

BAKING SODA TOOTHPASTE: THE CLEAN YOUR MOUTH HAS BEEN WAITING FOR • Put the natural power of Baking Soda in ARM & HAMMER™ Toothpastes to work for you

Armed for Anything • Surprise! Mini bands can tone way more than your legs and tush. Trainer Charlee Atkins, founder of Le Sweat, created a travel-friendly routine that’ll blast your upper bod. Grab your band and go.

Get Aligned • Crunch or plank? How’bout both! The side plank crunch better builds your obliques for a solid, balanced foundation for any workout (everything starts with your core…).

Lonely Lifter?

SHINGLES, SHINGLES, EVERYWHERE…

Redefining Regimen

Happy Homecoming • You know how you always feel a little meh after a fun or peaceful trip? Beat the “back to reality” blues—whatever they might be for you—with these refreshing and recharging tips from Seth Gillihan, PhD, a psychologist practicing near Philadelphia.

Green Machine • It might be your go-to smoothie staple, but experts say spirulina is just as much a magic bullet when slathered on your skin and hair.

“I will simplify my skin-care routine.”

Fit Fringe • There’s a lot more to waterproof mascara—a sporty staple—than meets the eye.

Confidence for Miles • Social media influencer Krystal Bick knows a thing or two about reaching goals. She rose to the challenge to complete not one, but three marathons. Her secret to success?
