Members of the Bunny family take turns imagining what the baby will be when he grows up: a clown, a cowboy, etc. The meticulous, almost dainty art--so different from Scarry's relatively cartoonish later output--depicts every family member's fantasy job for the baby, who, in an exquisite touch, keeps his own dream--of becoming a daddy rabbit--to himself.
